Looking Ahead to 2026/27: Pre-Season Fixtures Confirmed
After a short break following the end of last season, preparations are well underway for 2026/27 as our attention now turns to building on a successful year and pushing for a league title challenge and promotion.
With our trial process drawing to a close this week, the interest in the club has been encouraging, and we’ve been delighted to welcome so many talented players onto our pitch. It’s a real testament to everything that we’re building here at Atlético London.
The final trial session took place on Thursday ahead of Sunday’s invitational fixture, where successful trialists had an opportunity to showcase themselves in a match setting, with this season's first team coming together in a competitive environment for the first time.
The preparations don’t stop there. Pre-season fixtures begin on the 5th July, with an away trip to MK Dons, the first of six scheduled fixtures. Among the highlights is a meeting with Stevenage, last season’s league champions, who, despite a tightly contested home game, we were unable to beat last year. Their quality and experience will provide an excellent test as we prepare for the season ahead.
The trial period has given us an invaluable opportunity to strengthen the squad while building on the foundations established during our first season. It’s been great to see the interest in what we’re building as a club, and we’re very excited to get the season underway.
Jason Murray, Head Coach at Atlético London reflects: “We had a fantastic first season, but the goal really is to build on that this year and challenge for the league title. We have a really strong team, with some great young talent, and this year's trials have really helped us go from strength to strength. It’s going to be an exciting year, and I’m looking forward to kicking off pre-season.”
