Our FA Cup Journey Comes to an End

Our FA Cup campaign came to an end last weekend, as we fell to a 2-0 defeat against Royston Town.

Facing a side we know well from the league, we knew it would be another challenging afternoon. Having met Royston in the league the weekend before, where the two sides played out a draw, we were familiar with the quality they would bring and the test that awaited us.

The game proved to be a competitive encounter, but Royston ultimately came away with the win. Despite our efforts, we couldn’t find a way through, bringing our FA Cup campaign to a close.

The afternoon was also sadly marked by an injury to Khyri McKenzie, who went down during the game and is currently awaiting medical tests. We’re wishing Khyri all the best and will share further updates when we have more information.

While the result wasn't what we had hoped for, our focus now turns to the competitions still ahead. There is plenty to play for this season, and we'll take the lessons from our recent games as we continue to work towards the standards we set ourselves.

Next up, we’re on the road again as we face Dunstable in the League Cup.
